Description
Naturalia Retreat Center runs small-group retreats on a 25-hectare Amazon rainforest property near Iquitos. Its current 2026 site, booking calendar and application form confirm operation. Retreats are limited to five participants and use private bungalows, with meals and transport from Iquitos included in the principal seven-day formats.
The ayahuasca-and-yoga programme currently describes three Shipibo-led ceremonies, yoga, meditation, private consultations and integration sessions; a separate yoga-and-meditation stay does not include ayahuasca. Activities are optional, and programme inclusions, starting dates and prices differ. The operator requires an application covering medical history, mental health, medication, substance use and an emergency contact.
Ayahuasca is a psychoactive brew containing monoamine-oxidase-inhibiting compounds. It can cause intense perceptual and psychological effects, vomiting and changes in heart rate or blood pressure, and it may interact seriously with medication or other substances. Evidence for therapeutic benefit remains limited, so ceremony, healing and transformation language must not be treated as medical care or an assured outcome. Do not stop or alter prescribed medication to meet retreat rules without advice from an independent licensed clinician; check personal suitability, screening, supervision, emergency plans, insurance and legal implications before booking.
