Suan Mokkh International Dharma Hermitage

Suan Mokkh International Dharma Hermitage is operating near Wat Suan Mokkh in Surat Thani and runs English-language ten-day silent meditation retreats. The official retreat site says each course starts on the first day of the month, ends on the eleventh and requires in-person registration on the final day of the previous month; advance booking and partial attendance are not available.

The programme teaches mindfulness with breathing, concentration and vipassana alongside Buddhist teachings. Conditions are intentionally simple: a small private room with a hard bed and wooden pillow, shared washing facilities, two vegetarian meals and an evening drink. Special diets are not provided, and phones and other devices are deposited during the retreat.
