Phang Nga Bay, located in southern Thailand, is a bay of the Andaman Sea. It’s known for its dramatic limestone cliffs, dozens of which rise from the water to form islands. Phang Nga is also home to James Bond Island, made famous by the 1974 movie The Man with the Golden Gun.
Other attractions in Phang Nga Bay include the so-called “floating Muslim village” of Koh Panyee and the Sea Gypsy Village of Koh Yao Noi.
The best way to explore Phang Nga Bay is by longtail boat. Most tour operators will take you to visit James Bond Island, as well as a few of the other islands in the bay.
