Tanjung is a beach town and the capital of North Lombok Regency on the island of Lombok. It consists of 7 villages and about 800 Buddhists live in the area.

Tanjung is known for its temples and market where you can buy indigenous products and locally harvested tobacco. A cattle market is also held here every Sunday.
