Wangdue Phodrang is a district of central Bhutan and is the largest district in the whole country. The word “Wangdue” means unification of Country, and “Phodrang” means Palace in Dzongkha.
The Phobjikha Valley, Adha Tsho lake, Gangteng Monastery, and the a historic dzong which was built in 1638 can be found here.
