Gangteng (Phobjikha) Valley Wellness Guide

Gangteng Valley which is also known as Gangtey or Phobjikha Valley is a U-shaped valley located in central Bhutan. It is home to Gangtey Monastery, an ancient Buddhist monastery.

During winter, the endangered black-necked cranes from the Tibetan Plateau come here to roost. The Crane Festival, an event which welcomes the black-necked cranes, and Tsechu, the colorful Mask Dance Festival of Bhutan are being held here annually.
