Gianyar is one of the upscale regencies in Bali, dubbed as the art center of the island. It is known for its traditional dances such as Barong Dance and Keris Dance.

Batubulan and Singapadu villages are known for sand carving, Celuk village for gold and silver crafts, Batuan and Ubud for painting, Mas village for wood crafts and furniture, Bona village for handicrafts woven from palm leaves, and Belega village for bamboo crafts.
