Following a tragic hurricane in Mazunte, Mexico in 2012, the thriving yoga community OmShanti was born. They took advantage of the chance to start again and established Comunidad OmShanti, which has since spread to Barcelona, Spain, and is now also present in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. More than 450 yoga teachers have been trained by them, more than 10,000 yoga retreats and daily sessions have been held, and more than 50,000 vegetarian meals have been served over the years.
Their most recent endeavor, Valle de Bravo, is a natural reserve renowned for its breathtaking beauty and serene ambience. OmShanti Forest in Valle de Bravo is an exceptional setting for meditation and healing. The eco-friendly housing layout, which includes a distinctive yoga shala tucked away in nature, offers guests a peaceful setting in which to connect with themselves. The surrounding area also provides a wide range of outdoor activities like hiking, paragliding, and rock climbing, so visitors may explore and fully immerse themselves in the natural delights around.
OmShanti has a strong emphasis on holistic well-being, which includes serving tasty and nutritious vegetarian and vegan meals that are derived from local producers. The neighborhood takes pride in providing its visitors with a warm and attentive service while providing a number of dietary options to accommodate a range of preferences and needs. They also have a group of qualified yoga instructors who were all trained in India and are committed to sharing their knowledge and fostering transformative learning opportunities for students. OmShanti offers participants of all levels a welcoming environment, individualized coaching, a variety of yoga and meditation styles, and small class sizes to promote growth and self-discovery.
