Description

Yosi Ocha Ayahuasca retreat center, also known as the Peruvian Institute of Shamanism and Natural Medicine (IPCHAMENA), is located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, within the Allpahuayo Mishana National Park. Their aim is to establish a benchmark of shamanic excellence by rigorously maintaining standards and allowing guests to experience deep healing and powerful transformational processes through authentic Shipibo practices during their retreats in the Amazon jungle.

They have eight eco-friendly bungalows with private toilets,  showers, and anti-mosquito nets to ensure better protection and peaceful rest. They also boast a spacious dining room equipped with electricity produced by solar panels, and they serve a selection of savory fruits and vegetables, legumes and cereals, eggs, chicken, and local fish, in order to provide you with a balanced and healthy diet.

Various meditation programs and rituals like ancient Shipibo, Remocaspi, Sachamama, and Yacumama are offered here. Aside from the nature endeavors, you can also enjoy their self-care activities like hot stone massages, plant & flower baths, and a relaxing dip into their natural swimming pool with delightfully refreshing waters.

About Loreto

Loreto is a region located in northeastern Peru, bordering Ecuador and Brazil. It is the largest region in Peru and covers a vast area of the Amazon rainforest. Loreto is known for its rich biodiversity, indigenous cultures, and stunning natural landscapes. One of the main attractions in Loreto is the Amazon rainforest itself. This region is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including numerous species of plants, birds, mammals, and reptiles. Exploring the rainforest through guided tours or riverboat cruises is a popular activity for visitors, allowing them to experience the incredible biodiversity and immerse themselves in the natural wonders of the Amazon. Loreto is also home to several protected areas and national parks, such as the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. This reserve is one of the largest protected areas in Peru and offers opportunities for wildlife observation, birdwatching, and hiking. The reserve is crisscrossed by a network of rivers, lagoons, and flooded forests, providing a unique and captivating environment to explore. The indigenous communities in Loreto, such as the Yagua, Bora, and Huitoto, contribute to the cultural richness of the region. Tourists have the opportunity to learn about their traditional customs, rituals, and crafts, as well as sample local dishes and beverages.
